There were lots and lots of shops there that I wouldn't be able to visit normally as they are too far away from where I live, so it was worth the trip. I took my grumy, 19 year old son with me as he is very good at encouraging me NOT to spend loads of money on things I don't need!
The scissors, snips and tweezers, I bought to use for my sewing and cross stitch, from Every Crafts a Pound. I got the hoop from Black Sheep Wools, who also had lots of beautiful cross stitch kits that I want but will probably never get around to doing as I already have a large stash hidden away!
I got the other beads and jewellery bits and bobs from The Southampton Bead Shop. I'm not quite sure what I'll be making with them.
Also there was a display of costumes from Far From The Madding Crowd, an exhibition of works by the Embroiderers Guild, which were absolutely amazing to admire. I also spoke to Val Hughes, who makes some stunning dresses, making and weaving the fabric before making them.
I did want to buy a elsebee table clamp from Cross Stitch Workshop, to take my cross stitching to Sewing Bee, every week as it will be easier to use than the seat frame I have resting on the table, but I stupidly didn't purchase it when I had the chance. I've been looking online for it but haven't found a place that is better on price yet, so I may just order it from them!
