In the transformation challenge, they are tasked with making a new garment from a Dashiki, a men's tunic made from vibrant West African fabric.

For the final challenge, they are tasked with using Japanese origami techniques. They have to create a structurally challenging top for their model that is striking and dramatic, pushing their pattern drafting, fabric handling and precision sewing to new heights. I definitely would not like to do this challenge!
Garment of the week was won by Riccardo and his amazing origami top. He has really improved as the weeks have gone by.
Going home today is Jen. This was a shocker as she has made some very good pieces over the weeks and has won several challenges. I have a feeling we will see more of Jen in the weeks and months to come.
We have no clues as to what they will be making next week. There is usually a big statement garment in the made to measure challenge so I'm looking forward to that!
Good Luck to Riccardo, Leah and Juliet!
I don't know what's going on with this blog but it hasn't published the whole thing every week. I'm so sorry it hasn't done that but I don't know how to fix it. I hope it works this week.
