Apparently, filming was done last autumn, hopefully when there were fewer restrictions due to Covid. It will be interesting to see how it is done this year. I know last years Great British Bake Off was quite intense with all the contestants and staff having to stay in a nearby hotel for the duration of filming. I also the think the contestants of the Great Pottery Throwdown had to do similar. There is a lot more close contact with people with the Sewing Bee as outfits have to be made to measure for models in the last round. I'm sure there will be plenty of drama and excitement in this new series and I'm looking forward to seeing the challenges and makes!
We have the same judges and presenter, Patrick Grant, Esme Young and Joe Lycett bringing their expertise, knowledge and encouragment to the contestants.
Great British Sewing Bee is on BBC1 at 9pm, starting on the 14th April 2021
