I had been wanting to design a knitted cable earwarmer for a while and had this one lurking in my head. I finally got around to designing it. Please excuse my double chin!
You will need:
Chunky yarn
6mm needles
Cable needle
Abbreviations
k: knit
p: purl
cn : cable needle
sl: slip
sts: stitches
Cast on 18
Row 1: k4, p2, k6, p2, k4
Row 2: k6, p,6, k6
Row 3: k4, p2, sl 3 sts onto cn and hold to front, k3, k3 on cn, p2, k4
Row 4: k6, p6, k6
Row 5: k4, p2, k6, p2, k4
Row 6: k6, p6, k6
Row 7: k4, p2, k6, p2, k4
Row 8: k6, p6, k6
Row 9- 98: repeat rows 3-8
Cast off
Stitch short sides together and weave in ends
